Since its founding in 1916, the Pine Beach Yacht Club continues to serve as a one of the key mainstays for the residents of Borough of Pine Beach. PBYC and its members are dedicated to promoting and celebrating sailing and life on the water.
The Pine Beach Yacht Club welcomes recreational and competitive sailors as well as non-sailors alike. Situated approximately midway along the southern bank of the Toms River, PBYC provide easy access for various watersports, yachtsmen and boaters. The Club itself is a two-story facility which is open year-round and provides a wonderful backdrop for your next event, a place to catch up with your friends or to simply enjoy the view while you relax.
For our competitive sailors, PBYC hosts several regattas during the summer including the Sunday Race Series and the annual Feed the Need Regatta. As a member of the Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association (BBYRA), PBYC and its members enjoy the benefits the BBYRA offers such as social events between member clubs, organized public training for racing and hosting regattas.
The Pine Beach Yacht Club Junior Sailing Program has been introducing young sailors to sailing and seamanship since 1975. Many of our junior sailors have gone on to join their high school sailing team, become elite athletes, coaches and instructors. Our program caters to all skill levels in ages groups ranging from 6 to 17 years old and, is not limited to PBYC members.
If sailing or boating is not your forte, PBYC has an active social scene that runs throughout the year with events such as the Annual Bike Hike, Commodore’s Open House, Annual Halloween Party, book club, beer tastings, happy hours with live music and more! Our junior sailors also host events such as the Pancake Breakfast, Beef & Brew and Christmas in July.
The Pine Beach Yacht Club offers something for everyone in an environment that is casual and friendly. Feel free to stop by and say “hello”.
